Alcaidesa Links Resort, two 18-hole courses overlooking the Rock of Gibraltar

In the heart of the province of Cadiz, right by the Mediterranean and facing the Rock of Gibraltar you’ll find one of the most renowned resorts in continental Europe. Two 18-hole courses, clearly differentiated, await you for the delight of your game and, above all, your senses.

Alcaidesa is much more than a round of golf, it is a chain of sensations, aromas and images that will transport you to an infinity of different sensations, as many as you are able to bear.

As soon as you tee off on the Links you come face-to-face with the blissful truth: more than just a round of golf, you’ll enjoy the views, the scenery and the climate in one of the most impressive spots in the province of Cadiz. And after enjoying the first four holes where the wind, the greens and strategy make their presence felt, you arrive at one of the most photographed tees in the world of international golf. The 5th hole, a 460 metre par 5 which will require maximum concentration and a drive down the middle of the fairway with ever-present views of the Rock of Gibraltar. For the second shot you’ll have to avoid the central water hazard protecting the fairway and leave your ball as near to the green as possible with a single objective: making a birdie.

But there’s more to Alcaidesa, there’s also the route through Heathland with unhurried inclines and sloping greens where you’ll need all your skill in choosing the best strategy from the tee to the green. The middle holes will give you the best chances for birdies, just as long as you can avoid the sand traps strategically placed by Dave Thomas.

Once you hole the last putt, you’ll still have a moment to take your best selfie: a photo where the lake in front of the clubhouse merges with the sea in the background creating one of the most unforgettable images of the Alcaidesa Links Resort.
