Srixon have always created quality irons, and their brand new ZX models appear to be no different, but they are also gaining a steadily growing reputation for producing metalwoods which perform well too, with more and more of their Tour players choosing to put them in play.

The new ZX Woods continue this development following the Z 785 of 2018, and Srixon say that they have been specifically designed with speed in mind thanks to new Rebound Frame Technology.

There are two ZX Drivers in the new range along with Fairway Wood and Hybrid options, and they feature the following key innovations:

  • Rebound Frame – Focusing more energy into the golf ball, the Frame’s unique structure increases ball speed and distance on each and every shot, particularly on strikes in the middle of the face.

  • Lightweight Carbon Crown – A 15% larger carbon crown moves mass lower into the head, which raises MOI and increases forgiveness.

  • Adjustability – A single weight port in the ZX5 Driver, and two weight ports in the ZX7 Driver, allow the golfer to adjust the centre of gravity (CG) or swing weight. An adjustable hosel provides variation in loft, lie and face angle.

  • Crown Step – Featured in the ZX Fairway Woods and ZX Hybrids, the stepped crown lowers the CG to optimise launch and increase MOI.

Rebound Frame reresents the best energy transfer system we’ve ever designed into a driver. From the centre of the face to the very rear of the club, we’ve tuned the club head stiffness to put more energy into the ball than ever before. The entire driver head works in harmony to provide an unprecedented rebound effect, giving you more maximum ball speed for more distance.”

Srixon ZX Drivers

The ZX Drivers are designed with an emphasis on speed and power, and feature a strong, lightweight carbon crown that’s 15% larger than previous generations.

The crown repositions weight lower down and further back in the head, which raises MOI and so adds forgiveness to every drive.

The ZX5 Driver is said to combine great looks, sound and feel with a confidence-inspiring view at address, providing forgiving easy launch.

It has a large footprint and flattened shape, along with a single weight placed lower and deep in the head, which makes it ideal for straighter shot shapes with a high launch.

The ZX7 Driver’s penetrating ball flight and adjustability allows you to dial in to the launch conditions you most desire. There’s an adjustable hosel and two interchangeable rear weights, helping you to produce the shot shape that best fits your style.

It has a more rounded rear shape and flattened crown, with more balanced weight to allow for greater adjustability.

The ZX Drivers are available in 9.5 or 10.5 Degrees, and are priced at £449 (ZX7) and £429 (ZX5) respectively.

Srixon ZX Fairway Woods

The ZX Fairway Woods are centred around versatility, meaning that they are just as adept from the deck as they are off the tee in providing speed and distance.

You get the same Rebound Frame as in the Drivers, as well a new Cannon Sole which is said to provide optimal weighting and a faster face.

The sole weight is placed just behind the face to provide ideal fairway wood launch conditions, along with a penetrating trajectory that better players crave with their woods.

The Fairway Woods are available in 15, 18 and 21 Degrees along with an extra strong 3+ Fairway at 13.5 Degrees. They are priced at £249.

Srixon ZX Hybrids

The ZX Hybrids are said to be compact yet powerful, with a small head shape and sharper toe profile designed to inspire more confidence at address.
