Club de Golf Alcanada has once again celebrated its commitment to excellent customer service with a Gold Flag award from the 59Club, the third consecutive year that the Mallorcan club has won the award.

Set on the north of the Balearic Island, Alcanada has worked hard to continue to impress the mystery shoppers that evaluate golf clubs and resorts across Europe, wowing them and guests alike with a complete and personal service.

The mystery shoppers judge contenders on a points-based system to determine which clubs/resorts offered them the best service across the different sections of the business.

The scores are then compared to decide the list of award winners, which this year included Alcanada as a Gold Flag recipient for a third successive time, meaning that they continue as a member of a prestigious list of former winners such as Yas Links in Dubai and Gleneagles in Scotland.

One of Europe’s top golfing venues, Alcanada is a major name in the world of European golf, with a stunning 18-hole golf course that looks out at the lighthouse in the Bay of Alcudia.

Measuring 6,499 meters, the Robert Trent Jones Jnr-designed layout is the only one on the island that is by the sea and has been the host venue for a number of top professional events, including the 2022 European Challenge Tour Grand Final in November of this year.

Kristoff Both, Club de Golf Alcanada’s director of golf, said: “It feels brilliant to once again be rewarded for all of the team’s hard work, and we thank the 59Club for this prestigious nod to our customer service.

“We have worked very hard through the last three years, the pandemic and the return to tourism, to make sure that no matter the situation, our guests received the highest quality service, and for that to be recognised in this way really gives us the confidence we are going in the right direction.”
